Luxury five star riad-hotel located in the heart of Marrakech...
ABOUT
Centrally-located, this is a sophisticated, sumptuous five-star haven that soothes the soul. It does so using a large garden, pot plants, gurgling fountains and quiet, sofa-lined courtyards. Using its restaurant’s delectable Mediterranean and Moroccan cuisine, and three cosy lounges. Using two pools – one a heated courtyard classic, the other a scenic rooftop rectangle – and a great spa. Using gorgeous fabrics and plump pillowcases. And using the exotic scent of those eponymous, ever-present oranges.
ROOMS
Citrus-themed in colour, the 27 bedrooms come with ornate wooden chests, complimentary slippers, super-comfortable beds and enormous marble bathrooms. All quarters are spacious, too, even the smallest Deluxe rooms. Out in the garden, Luxury Suites throw in a sitting room, dressing room and plasma-screen TVs for good measure, but undisputably top of the tree is a private riad with two solarium suites, a plunge pool and its own private entrance.
FACILITIES
That aforementioned spa offers massage, beauty treatments, a small gym and a sun terrace. Views of the Atlas Mountains reward any climb to the roof, but it also pays to go downstairs to the cigar cellar.
MORE INFO
Detail is the thing here. Look out for impossibly-intricate plaster work lattices, or the eggs which double as key fobs, and note how the bathrobes have just the right fluffiness. The touches extend to generosity: all prices include light lunches, laundry and airport transfers.
Dear Max
I am not on Facebook so I will try and give you my comments by e-mail.
I was very pleased with Denise and your other staff members, with the attention we received before we commenced on our holidays.
Even the canceling of the Royal Air Maroc Airline flight at the end, and our request to cancel one of our days in Marroco was dealt with, with such efficiency.
1. Bab Ourika - Ourika Valley was perfect. The accommodation was first class and the food was to die for.
We enjoyed the Berber lunch and, walking to the village nearly killed us but we enjoyed every minute it.
2. Our second stop to Rock Camp - Agafay was a little disappointing. The camel ride was good, and the service was good. However we were the only ones in camp that night and that we did not expect. The “camp” environment was totally lost because if this. Eating under the stars did not happen. A suggestion that they do not book just one person, , it defeats the idea of camping.
3. Our last stop to Villa des Orangers - Marrakech was all that it promised and more. The Riad was out of this world, the service was second to none and we could not ask for anything more. The fact that
Royal Air Maroc cancelled our last day was a bit disappointing. However your people arranged for the cancellation of the booking, and we will get a refund is good in our books.
We will definitely use your service again and will spread the word in our part of the world.
I will write under separate cover how to refund our account.
Once again thank you very much for one of our best holidays we have had to date.

Villa D'Orangers - location of course but also the smell of orange blossom and the tranquility

The Villa des Orangers in Marrakesh maintains the highest standards. Did you know that, for Muslims, a proper Riyadh has to be a bit of earthly ‘paradise’ and have a fountain and trees to qualify? The Villa des Orangers is a bit of heaven on earth.

Brilliant. Impeccable service, friendly, helpful reception staff and a excellent restaurant. A refuge from the street with its long entrance hall away from the hurly-burly.

Villa des Orangers in Marrakech was equally special, in a different way, with excellent service and beautiful public spaces. Our guide for the Marrakech tour was knowledgeable and gave us an extensive tour of the Kasbah area, with the inevitable stops at a handicraft and carpet shop, maybe we should have been more assertive in telling her that we were not interested in shopping. I am not against visiting a couple of shops in principle, but it just takes up too much of the tour time trying to extricate oneself without a purchase, and they are always places selling expensive items which are not impulse purchases for most people.

The Villa des Orangers in Marrakech is possibly one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in, stylish, beautiful, lovely food and great service from very well trained and friendly staff. The free laundry service, the lunch and breakfast and all soft drinks being included was also really helpful. The junior suites were just perfect, especially the one we had on the first floor (room 4). Our boys loved it too. We liked it so much I’d like to look into booking again for next October.

The Villa de Orangers was the perfect respite in the middle of Marrakech and a welcome haven for our tired bodies

Villa des Orangers was stunning, one room had a private roof terrace and we all had access to the roof pool.

We have just returned from Villa des Orangers in Marrakech. When we first arrived in the street where the hotel was we thought it looked awful but when inside the huge door it was magical.
The hotel was lovely - the room, the food , the staff, the guide who took us out were all terrific.
Everyone was so helpful and mindful of any potential problems you might encounter when out and about. Also the staff in London were very friendly and helpful.

The hotels were excellent and we had superb rooms at both. Room 5 at Villa des Orangers was particularly good. The Deux Tours was absolutely excellent with the grandchildren. I got the impression that coming through Lawrence of Morocco ensured extra special attention.

The Villa des Orangers was perfect. An immaculate refuge from the hectic, bustling life in the Medina. The staff were faultless in their attention to detail and helpfulness and the food was excellent. We followed your recommendations for eating out and had outstanding meals in, most notably, the Dar Moha and the Fondouk.

La Villa des Orangers gave us two junior suites. It was perfect. Two days in Marrakech was a great start to our holiday. It was very exotic and we felt in another world. Beautiful place. The first night, we had dinner at our Riad and it was really good. The second, we went to Dar Moha. It was a perfect way to sample some great local food. I guess they were happy to see us as we were the only client for the night.

Villa des Orangers was great - the staff were very pleasant and attentive – the bedroom was good and the roof pool an unexpected bonus - location was good - breakfast and lunch were excellent and we did eat there for dinner once.

Villa des Orangers was unbelievable! We have stayed at many hotels all over the world and this hotel takes first prize for the incredible attention to detail, service (unobtrusive but there whenever you need it). The hotel is small and right where the action is but totally private and quiet. I have stayed at large 5 star hotels but this one exceeds all of them. It felt like a home away from home. The room was superb, the courtyards and living rooms were very intimate, the pools impressive, restaurant and bar had great offerings well presented and the Spa was awesome.

The only suggestion we would make relates to anyone having a mobility problem, as they may have difficulty in both places. This could apply, in particular, to the Villa des Orangers., where we had room number 1. In that room there are steep stairs from the ground floor, which is where the bathroom is, to the bedroom on the first floor. This was not a problem for us, but any potential guests should we feel be checked beforehand to see if they have any limitations in mobility.
On our return, we have spoken highly of our experience with the holiday booked with you and would not hesitate in recommending Lawrence of Morocco.

Villa des Orangers was of course very luxurious (than La Roseraie) and the food more sophisticated (and rather expensive) We were really glad to have the private terrace, and the pool was great .We couldn't get a late checkout, but booked a hassam, massage and facial so were able to leave for the airport relaxed and feeling very well. But leaving 30 degress to arrive at Gatwick with -2 was a bit of a shock!

The hotel Villa des Orangers in Marrakech was excellent and we enjoyed staying there. It has an excellent location. The staff were very helpful and the evening meal was good. However we went to different restaurants on the other nights and particularly enjoyed the food at the La Jacoranda. We also sampled Tobsil which was very good but with too much food.

There was absolutely nothing negative to say about Villa des Orangers where I hope to stay again one day.

The hotel was delightful and all your arrangements were conducive to a very pleasant holiday. The hotel, apart from picking us up and taking us to the airport, really went out of their way to offer us a number of important services at no extra cost.
