Marrakech, south & coast by helicopter

If you want to visit the deep south of Morocco but don't have time to do all the driving, we have the answer...

Hotels in Morocco with heliports include the Kasbah Tamadot in the Atlas Mountains, the Xaluca Dades above the Dades valley and the Xaluca Maadid at the gateway to the Sahara Desert.

- This itinerary is a suggestion and can be adapted to your preferences.
- The suggested Things-to-do by each hotel are suggestions based on the hotel's location, and are not included in the guideline tour cost.
- Most hotels insist on minimum stays over the Christmas, New Year and Easter periods so some of the short overnight stays may not be possible at these times.

Day 2

Spend a few nights in Marrakech at La Mamounia (we recommend the Marquetrie suite).  Enjoy total luxury and comfort while visiting the red city.

Day 3

Explore Marrakech

Day 4

Day 5

Luxury 4x4 with driver to take you across the high Atlas Mountains (via the Tichka pass) to Ouarzazate and on to Skoura.  Stay at the incredible Dar Ahlam (Relais & Chateaux) kasbah/house hotel where you will be taken care of like nowhere else in Southern Morocco.

Day 6

Visit the Todra Gorge and the 'Valley of Roses' for the day. Return to enjoy an evening of pampering at Dar Ahlam where dinner is never served twice in the same place!

Day 7

Drive (3 hours) to Zagora.  Lunch at a small desert hotel by the pool. In the afternoon, visit the palm groves of Zagora and an ancient kasbah followed by the pottery of Tagounit.  Drive to a spot where you will meet your camels and take a 30 minute camel trek into the dunes to watch the sunset over the dunes of Erg L'Yehudi.  Arrive at your luxury desert camp.  Shower and prepare for a magical dinner under the stars (and the stars are amazing in the desert due to virtually zero light pollution). Three course meal with traditional desert musicians and other entertainment. Your helicopter has already landed at the camp...

Day 8

Fly in the morning from the camp across the dunes, the Draa Valley, the lunascape around Agdz and over the high Atlas Mountains to Marrakech where you refuel (20 minute stop).  Fly on (50 minutes) to the Atlantic coast and circle the spectacular lagoon of Oualidia before landing only minutes from your next luxurious hotel La Sultana.

Day 9

Relax on the beautiful beaches of Oualidia... eat great fish, take fishing boat rides along the lagoon, experience wonderful bird life and forget the 'fast world'.

Day 10

Relaxing at Oualidia

Day 11

Transfer by road to either Casablanca or Marrakech airport for your return flight.
