Well run 4 star hotel in the Semlalia area of the new town. Lovely gardens and pool.
ABOUT
One of Marrakech’s better four-star hotels, the Semiramis has a beautiful, large garden to rival any riad’s flowery roof terrace. Set in the attractive New Town (a ten-minute, cheap-as-chips Petit Taxi hop from the main Marrakech action), the hotel might be a bit functional in terms of architecture, but the service, facilities and food are top-drawer. There’s even a nightclub, should you want to dance a jig to celebrate your excellent accommodation choice!
ROOMS
Including six suites, there are 180 rooms in total, each decorated in traditional, luxurious Moroccan shades. Ample space, comfort, a private balcony, air-conditioning, free Wi-Fi and satellite TV all come as standard.
FACILITIES
The four acres of gorgeous greenery contain a palm grove and hanging gardens, with plenty of snooze spots and a pool. Food-wise, you’ve got three restaurant choices: Mediterranean nosh from either La Strada or L’Oasis, or traditional Moroccan dishes courtesy of Le Chellah. Bar Aladin, meanwhile, opens onto the gardens and offers a range of drinks, some naughtier than others. There’s also a fitness centre and a spa doing steam baths and massages. And two tennis courts. And volleyball, and archery. And ping pong. And did we mention the nightclub?

This is a great option for those keen to keep costs down without stinting on standards. It also suits families: the nightclub isn’t intrusive, there’s a kids club (ages 4-11) and inter-connecting rooms are available.

Our staff regularly visit the places and accommodation that we feature.
When you book a holiday with us we will provide full driving instructions for reaching your accommodation, where necessary; these can be used by yourself, or you could enjoy the luxury of a driver. Alternatively we will arrange private (car rather than coach) transfers for you; helicopter transfers are also possible for some destinations.
Semiramis Hotel, the Hotel was acceptable if not a little tired, it could do with a lick of paint here and there. The towels were thin and well used but very clean. The pool loungers needed cleaning and in some case repairing. However, the service was extremely good with all staff being helpful and polite.
