A riad with 4 suites, hammam and roof terrace with plunge pool
ABOUT: Monochrome common areas, svelte deckchairs and sleek luxury... this chic riad almost has to have Italian owners, adding their own take to traditional Moroccan style. Very bijou, with just five rooms, the luxury Dar also boasts two pools, a marble hammam and fabulous proximity to the Jemaa-el-Fna square and main souks. But the crowning glory, literally, is a jaw-dropping roof terrace: one of the medina’s very highest, it has incredible views and sunsets you won’t forget.
ROOMS: Each named after their theme colour—Green, Red, Black and White—Dar Moda’s four spacious suites are located on the first floor. All have air-conditioning,tadelakt fireplaces and black-marble bathrooms; in addition, the Black and White suites have wholly private terraces—very rare for Marrakechi riads. There’s also a smaller ‘Panoramic Terrace Bedroom’, with twin beds and yet more amazing vistas.
FACILITIES: The roof terrace’s views extend over cacti, the surrounding medina quarter, and the Koutoubia Mosque towards Atlas Mountain peaks. Drink in the view from cushioned seats, a small plunge pool or a gazebo under which dinner—sharing plates of Moroccan classics—may be taken. There’s another small, lantern-lit pool in the courtyard below, with a salon, dining room and lounge accessed via intricately-carved archways. Argan-oil massages and black-soap scrubs await in the hammam.

When you book a holiday with us we will provide full driving instructions for reaching your accommodation, where necessary; these can be used by yourself, or you could enjoy the luxury of a driver. Alternatively we will arrange private (car rather than coach) transfers for you; helicopter transfers are also possible for some destinations.
