ABOUT: Set beside the medina’s ancient Spice Market, this sumptuous bolthole comes straight out of a high-end interiors magazine. Designed by Lucia Silver, founder of London couture agency State of Grace, Dar Jaguar mixes Moorish and Oriental architecture with a very European romanticism. Its five individually-styled, chic suites are draped around a central courtyard of palm trees and bougainvillea, crowned by a cosy plunge pool and a leafy roof terrace. The market stands and snake-charmers of Jemaa-el-Fna, Marrakech’s legendary square, are but five minutes away.
ROOMS: The suites’ names are as glamorous as their contents: Gossamer Wings, Babylonian Vamp, Damascan Blush, Peridot's Powder Room and the titular State of Grace, boasting a four-poster bed and private entrance hall. Each has a distinctive colour palette, heirlooms collected from around the globe, carved wood fixtures and Syrian hanging lights, plus Wi-Fi. Bathrooms pair classictadelakt (lime plaster) with decadent copper tubs; two suites even have Grecian column-style steps leading into their baths.
FACILITIES: Lining the courtyard pool are three salons, perfect for a snooze or a mint tea. Or both. The very-attractive terrace has great views over the city’s sun-glinting roofs and minarets, while back downstairs there’s also a small State of Grace boutique, selling Moroccan-inspired jewellery, babouches, pouffes and kaftans.
EXTRA INFO: Dar Jaguar has a slick team of chauffeurs, masseurs, beauty technicians, personal shoppers and chefs available on standby. Cooking lessons and city-fleeing excursions can be arranged.

When you book a holiday with us we will provide full driving instructions for reaching your accommodation, where necessary; these can be used by yourself, or you could enjoy the luxury of a driver. Alternatively we will arrange private (car rather than coach) transfers for you; helicopter transfers are also possible for some destinations.
