An 8-room villa with garden chalets set in two acres of ground
ABOUT
If you’re as keen on peaks as cities, then Villa Dinari's ideal. Located in the Palmeraie, between Marrakech (13km away) and the Atlas Mountains foothills, the eight-room hotel can arrange private cars (around £20 return) into the former, and excursions over the latter into the Sahara. The owners provide extra temptation: a tour leader for over 20 years, Abdul offers impressive Moroccan knowledge, while Heather, an English clothing designer, lends a real sense of style to interiors.
ROOMS
All air-conditioned and individual, the rooms are scattered across two acres of landscaped gardens and come with iPod docks. Housed in a separate bungalow, an impressive cacti garden surrounds the Garden Studio and adjacent Dinari Suite, both of which have a kitchenette and private terrace. Two large double bedrooms line the courtyard of the terracotta-coloured main building, and then three more standard double/twin rooms and the French-windowed Kasbah Suite share a communal patio.
FACILITIES
Delights await down winding paths in the Dinari’s gorgeous greenery: a heated pool with an accompanying bar, and a tented dining area seating up to 50 people for all fresco dining. Lunch and dinner – Moroccan or international cuisine – is available upon request. There’s also a new dining room/lounge bar with roaring fires: perfect for winter visitors, and able to host 80-person parties or weddings.
EXTRA INFO
Massage and beauty therapy can be arranged. If it gets a bit nippy outside, the main house boasts a cosy salon, too.
The Lawrence of Morocco map displays the locations of the destinations and accommodation that we have selected and visited; for each item, hovering over or clicking the marker will display a short summary and photo of that place or hotel, and hotel pricing. Follow the links in the info box to the full page listing which has much more information.
Note that the online map offers both a satellite view (click satellite in the top right) and, for some locations, a street level view (Drag the person in the top left onto the map). These let you explore the country; and when you wish to explore in person, or if you have any questions about the places you see, give our staff a call, or request a quote. Our staff regularly visit the places and accommodation that we feature.
When you book a holiday with us we will provide full driving instructions for reaching your accommodation, where necessary; these can be used by yourself, or you could enjoy the luxury of a driver. Alternatively we will arrange private (car rather than coach) transfers for you; helicopter transfers are also possible for some destinations.
