4-night Mini-Break Marrakech & Essaouira

Short break in exhilarating Marrakech and chilled-out Essaouira.  Two very different towns that have their very own specific charms, staying in beautiful riads and moving at the pace of each city.

- This itinerary is a suggestion and can be adapted to your preferences.
- The suggested activities are just are a small taste of things you can do in both cities, but are not included in the guideline tour cost.
- Most hotels insist on minimum stays over the Christmas, New Year and Easter periods so some of the short overnight stays may not be possible at these times.

Day 1

Arrive in Marrakech. Private car transfer to your riad in the heart of the Medina (old city). Jump straight in and follow the labarnyth of alleyways that will take you to the Jamaa el-Fnaa (main square); or just relax a while in the tranquility of your beautiful riad before going out to eat in one of Marrakech's many fabulous romantic restaurants.

Day 2

Breakfast at the riad and time to relax on the roof terrace before meeting your private guide who will take you on a 3 hour walking tour of some of Marrakech’s best monuments and places of interest. Lunch and then time to enjoy and explore the streets or shops. Dinner at the riad or one of the many fantastic restaurants around the city.

Day 3

Drive to Essaouira (approx 2.5 hours drive). Explore the small streets, the fishing port, the Thuya wood workshops and café life of this charming small fishing town.

Day 4

Breakfast at the riad before taking in the wonderful fresh Atlantic Ocean air on a leisurely walking trek to visit a Berber village and enjoy a picnic lunch on the beach.

Day 5

A car will collect you and drive you back to Marrakech in time for your flight back home.

I would definitely recommend Lawrence of Morocco to friends and relatives..

Dear Max,

Everything went really well, thank you. We found both the Maroc Lodge and Villa Maroc, excellent. The food was also great in both places - we only had b & b at Villa Maroc but we did eat there on the first evening and it was very good. The food at Maroc Lodge was outstanding. I couldn't fault …

Bronwen Griffiths

We explored all the zebra-skins, live chameleons, piles of indigo and jars of argan oil in the souk.

Deputy Editor of Harper’s Bazaar, Sasha Slater, travelled with her family to Marrakech and Ouirgane with Lawrence of Morocco in April 2014.
