The Kasbah is a welcoming environment for people seeking a comfortable mountain refuge and for those who wish for superb rooms in a stunning setting.
In keeping with their philosophy of wide access, there is a range of accommodation / pricing options from £35 through to £170 per person and beyond. The same public spaces and services are shared by all guests. This means there will be times when the mix of guest covers a wide spectrum of the travelling public. The original rooms have been kept in the Kasbah as Berber salons for multiple occupancy by families, walking and school groups. The en-suite rooms in the gardens have been built catering for most modern comforts. The Garden House includes a spectacular apartment that meets the requirements of most people and has been rented by celebrities. Guests from all walks of life stay at the Kasbah and enjoy its philosophy of equality, its facilities and its friendly staff.
However it is important to realise that it is not necessarily for everyone. Its unique broad-based approach to welcoming guests may not suit those that expect the place to be perfectly “dressed” at all times. People expecting an approach more typical of a 4/5 star hotel should think carefully before visiting.
The Lawrence of Morocco map displays the locations of the destinations and accommodation that we have selected and visited; for each item, hovering over or clicking the marker will display a short summary and photo of that place or hotel, and hotel pricing. Follow the links in the info box to the full page listing which has much more information.
Note that the online map offers both a satellite view (click satellite in the top right) and, for some locations, a street level view (Drag the person in the top left onto the map). These let you explore the country; and when you wish to explore in person, or if you have any questions about the places you see, give our staff a call, or request a quote. Our staff regularly visit the places and accommodation that we feature.
When you book a holiday with us we will provide full driving instructions for reaching your accommodation, where necessary; these can be used by yourself, or you could enjoy the luxury of a driver. Alternatively we will arrange private (car rather than coach) transfers for you; helicopter transfers are also possible for some destinations.
We left a little of our hearts here. It was truly magnificent. Took our breaths away from the moment we started to climb up - the kids on a mule. The staff were amazing - so kind, friendly, warm. We were upgraded for free to a gorgeous room with a bathroom overlooking the valley - The staff were surprised we had been booked into a berber salon with the children as they felt it would be too noisy next to the restaurant for young children. Heated floors wonderful, views incredible. The food was delicious - great quantity. Wonderful free mint tea, drinks through the day, even light snacks/ salad lunch. Wonderful on site hammam. Amazing atmosphere. Terrace 360% view amazing. We did 2 four hour treks with our 5 yr old taking a mule to make it do-able. We loved the villages, the goats and sheep, the breathtaking views, the air...then to come back and stretch out drinking tea and hot chocolate on the rugs. We loved the bread making on site, the spring water.... I highly recommend you consider this place more! And I would definitely recommend it to families.
